Linda Sparks

February 13, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Sparks on February 8, 2026. Born on December 28, 1944, to her parents, Robert Estell Johnson and Perlena Louise Adams, Linda lived a life filled with warmth, love, and devotion. It is this abundant love, which will remain entrenched in our hearts, as her most meaningful legacy.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her dear daughter, Jamie Renee Potts; and her sister, Cynthia Johnson. She is survived by her loving sister, Nita Hall; as well as her adoring grandchildren, Mitch Corbin, Stephanie Corbin, and Robert Corbin; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Their fond memories of their grandmother will keep the essence of Linda’s kindness and positivity alive.
Linda was a proud and accomplished ER nurse for more than 20 years, living out her passion for helping others and making a difference in countless lives. She instilled the idea that the smallest acts of kindness can have the most significant impact. Her life was a living example of the Christian principles of love and compassion. Linda's cheerfulness and positive attitude will be missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 US Hwy 277 S, Abilene, TX 79606. Following visitation, a graveside service will subsequently be held in her honor at 11 a.m. at the Elmwood Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 5750 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606. We come together not only to mourn the loss of Linda but to celebrate the love she so freely gave to all.
In her own words, "So Long." As we remember Linda, we acknowledge that her journey on earth may have ended, but her loving, kind spirit will forever be with us. Her grace, positivity, and selfless love have forever imprinted our hearts, and her life remains a testament to the power of love and the strength of faith.
